Curt’s Café is pleased to announce recent changes within its Board of Directors, following the retirement of long-serving Board President Rick Marsh. After nearly a decade of dedicated leadership, Marsh has officially stepped down from his role, having guided the organization through various challenges and celebrated achievements.

With Marsh’s retirement, Dr. Audrey French has been elected as the new Board President. Dr. French, who previously served as the board’s vice president for the past four years, brings a wealth of experience, commitment, and vision to the role. Her leadership is expected to be instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission. When speaking with Dr. French, she has stated that she is proud and excited to follow in Rick Marsh’s footsteps. Although he is a tough act to follow, she is excited to build on his extraordinary work improving the lives of our students.

The transition has also created a vacancy in the vice president position, which has been filled by newcomer Jeremiah Sargent. Joining the board in the fall of 2025, Sargent brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that are anticipated to enhance the board’s objectives and initiatives moving forward.

To celebrate Rick Marsh’s invaluable contributions as Board President, Curt’s Café will host a retirement party on May 14th. The event will honor not only Marsh’s outstanding service but also celebrate 14 years of Curt’s Café’s commitment to the community.

In a heartfelt tribute to Marsh’s passion for cultural exposure, the organization is excited to announce the establishment of the Rick Marsh Culture Exposure Trip Fund. This fund will ensure that students continue to experience enriching trips, fostering connections and learning opportunities that Marsh deeply valued.

While Rick Marsh may be retiring from his official capacity, he will remain an active member of the Curt’s community, volunteering as needed and stopping by to enjoy his favorite sandwich.
