“My friend and fellow Board Member Nina Kavin asked me to volunteer with a Curt’s fundraiser.  At the time I was building my group theater sales business; but before that, I was a child social worker and child welfare specialist, and I missed being on the front lines.  When I worked with foster and adopted children, I always felt they were in a Catch 22 situation because the state could not provide enough support and guidance to make real changes for them.  Curt’s is doing what that system fails to do:  Providing mentoring, counseling, job and life skills training.”
